Experience 

Terry has worked in the power industry for over 40 years. He has worked in power station, transmission and has also spent time working in Antarctica. He previously worked for Snowy Hydro for over 31 years, with his final role being responsible for all control, protection, excitation and governor systems across diesel, gas, hydro, transmission and distribution assets. He currently consults to the power industry and provides training in protection systems.

 

Terry has presented papers at the national and international conferences, including the Protection Testing User Group, Australian Protection Symposium, SEAPAC, Western Protective Relaying Conference (US), Doble Client Conference (US). He has co-written papers with SEL on protection systems and is a member of CIGRE B5 Australia.

Other professional experiences include:

  • Protection design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and training delivery.
  • High Voltage testing of generators, transformers, cables and other HV plant.
  • Training in High Voltage testing.
