There is an increasing range of technology based learning solutions that solve real world training and operational challenges
Our engineering and technical design team are reaching out to innovative companies that can produce safe virtual environments for training in hazardous and emergency environments.
We are working with our clients to explore, trial and deploy emersive simulation and virtual environments.
Innovators include:
- Flaim - virtual reality fire extinguisher featuring a range of fire events to efficiently train first responders.
- IncSys – PowerGrid software simulation to enable control room operators to experience normal, abnormal and emergency operation conditions.
- PowerCor Virtual Reality - for refresher and verification of competency in the Electricity Supply Industry.
- RealWare - for remote mentoring and assessment.
Thomson Bridge, in conjunction with these innovators in education, offers the incorporation of immersive simulation & virtual environments into our courseware as part of a wider instructional design and our program delivery.

IncSys - simulation software for PowerGrid scenarios
We partner with North American power grid simulation specialists, Incremental Systems Corporation (IncSys) and PowerData Corporation.
With over 30 years experience, they have developed PowerSimulator®, the leading platform for simulations of large interconnections enabling single or multiple participants to play real-time roles of transmission operators, balancing operators, generator operators, substation operators and reliability coordinators.

PowCor Augmented Reality for Distribution networks
DIstribution Network Owner, PowerCor, is collaborating with Augmented Intelligence specialist, Bondi Labs, to develop engaging AR training for distribution lineworkers to maintain skills. Thomson Bridge supports this initiative and continues to provide market testing and validation.

RealWare Hands Free Wearable Tablet Computers
Used for remote mentoring via video calling, the RealWare Headset is a head-mounted device, attached to a safety helmet. The high-resolution micro display fits just below your line of sight. It’s an industrial dashboard: there when you need it and out of your way when you don’t. Operated via simple voice commands.
