Recipient in Charge

Description

The Recipient-In-Charge course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to act as the permit holder, to have responsibility for a work site and to understand and comply safely with the Permit to Work process specific to the site, and regulating authority requirements.

Units of Competency

UETTDRRF09B - Apply access procedures to work on or near electrical network infrastructure
UETTDRRF01B - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus VESI – Safe Approach Distances

Unit Prerequisites

Participants must be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing and numeracy. Electrical appreciation is preferred but not required. Recipients-In-Charge must have successfully completed the training for and been authorised by the Enterprise as a Recipient

Course aim

The aim of the course is to provide the participant with knowledge and skills to safely act as a permit holder and to have responsibility for a work site

Learning activities

Trainer led presentation, group discussions, permit issue role-play and assessments.
