ElectraNet owns and operates over $2.5 billion of electricity transmission assets across South Australia. In order to perform tasks on or near ElectraNet’s Network, a worker requires specific training and authorisation.

Thomson Bridge is certified to provide the following training services on behalf of ElectraNet.

ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM)

In accordance with the ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM), training is required to access and undertake operations on ElectraNet assets. The TAAM courses are aligned to the Authorisation Levels identified in the Manual. TAAM courses provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand risks and safely access ElectraNet Assets.

ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2 - Initial

Provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand and safely act as a Switching Operator, without restriction, on the ElectraNet Transmission network.

ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2 - Refresher Re-accreditation

Provides an opportunity to refresh participants’ knowledge and skills required to understand and safely act as a Switching Operator without restriction on the ElectraNet Transmission network.

Cat2 Courses are subject to a minimum 4 and maximum 6 attendees. 

ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2 License Maintenance Assessment

The Course is designed to reflect the requirement under the ElectraNet Switching Manual to ensure that a License holder can demonstrate their practical and general knowledge.

To participate in ElectraNet approved training courses, Attendees must:

• be an employee of ElectraNet or of an ElectraNet Endorsed Company; and
• lodge an application to attend any training via the ElectraNet portal.
