Wind energy sector

Renewable Energy Training

We specialise in providing training services to the Wind & Solar Energy sectors. We understand renewable generation, your operations, health & safety requirements. We can deliver Instructor led programs at your Site, at our approved training centres and virtually.

Our skilled Instructors take pride in teaching workers how to assess hazards, determine and evaluate risks and implement processes to maintain safety of personnel, safety of equipment and continuity of supply.

Complementing our experienced Instructors is a team of engineering qualified, instructional designers and illustrators. This team is focussed on developing curriculum that is contextualised to your Site plant and procedures and is mapped to nationally accredited Units of Competency.

High Voltage Operator and Electrical Safe access Training

Our HV Training Programs are contextualised to your plant, permit system, Electrical Safety Rules and state and territory regulations. Our HV Professionals have extensive knowledge, strong communication skills and demonstrated safety leadership.

Global Wind Organisation Training & Vertical Rescue

The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to appropriately respond to an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), emergency equipment and procedures.

Our Vertical Rescue Training will provide skills and procedures for dealing with advanced rescues from a wind turbine.

Power Systems Operations

We are designing Power Systems programs specifically for wind and solar generators. Topics include:

  • the principles, practices and problems associated with power grid dynamics and how it impacts your operations
  • understanding the effects your system has on the local and wider networks (voltage and var control, system security, meeting your outputs per your bid profile).
  • communications with with Networks and AEMO,
  • responding to significant events such as network faults and storm events. (includes liaison procedures with operating authorities and invoking crisis management procedures and mutual response plans).

Training options include face-to-face and virtual Instructor facilitated workshops, online self-paced modules, backed by virtual classrooms and power grid simulation models.
