South Australia – ElectraNet – training and authorisation
ElectraNet owns and operates over $2.5 billion of electricity transmission assets across South Australia.
In order to perform tasks on or near ElectraNet’s Network, a worker requires specific training and authorisation.
Thomson Bridge is authorised to provide the following training services on behalf of ElectraNet.
ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM)
In accordance with the ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM), training is required to access and undertake operations on ElectraNet assets. The TAAM courses are aligned to the Authorisation Levels identified in the Manual. The ElectraNet Asset Access courses are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand risks and safely access ElectraNet Assets.

ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2- Initial
ElectraNet Switching Operator (Initial) – Category 2 course.
Provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand and safely act as a Switching Operator, without restriction, on the ElectraNet Transmission network.
ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2 - Refresher
ElectraNet Switching Operator (Refresher) – Category 2 course is designed to refresh participants’ knowledge and skills required to understand and safely act as a Switching Operator without restriction on the ElectraNet Transmission network.
ElectraNet Switching Operator Cat2 License Maintenance Assessment
The Course is designed to reflect the requirement under the ElectraNet Switching Manual to ensure that a License holder can demonstrate their practical and general knowledge.
