Professor of Organisational Psychology and Registered Psychologist at Macquarie University

Mark Wiggins is a Professor of Organisational Psychology and Registered Psychologist at Macquarie University with a long career in research and practice in Human Factors. He has authored over 80 articles and has published three books in the field, including Introduction to Human Factors for Organisational Psychologists.

As a practitioner, he has investigated human factors-related issues in electricity generation, transmission and distribution, marine operations, aviation, and the rail industry. He has also delivered human factors training courses to accident investigators, train controllers, emergency physicians, aircraft pilots, electricity network service operators, communications technicians, and defence force personnel.

Mark is the principal developer of EXPERTise 2.0, an online tool that evaluates the capacity for situational assessment amongst technical operators. EXPERTise 2.0 is used in training, personnel selection and benchmarking, with editions available for transmission and distribution network controllers, and substation and field operators.
