For Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) who undertake contestable works in NSW, we provide a straight forward approach to your annual ASP Refresher training. This time efficient program is designed to meet the needs of Level 1 and 2 Accredited Service Providers. It includes Pre Learning via our online platform, followed by a day of Instructor-led practical exercises either at Endeavour Energy's state-of-the-art training centre at Hoxton Park, in Sydney or at the Ironbark Training centre in Wagga Wagga.
Course aim
This program is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to enable them to undertake contestable works in the NSW Distribution networks Including Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy.
Target learner group
The target learners for this course are individuals who are required to complete electrical and compliance training that are mandatory for undertaking contestable works in the NSW Distribution networks.
Those who work on the NSW Distribution networks must maintain currency of skills and competency in a range of safety and technical competencies. Relevant safety related training programs are often mandated by regulation or industry agreements and documented in state codes of practice.

• Self-paced online theory presentations
• Theory assessment
• Onsite practical exercises and assessment
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, a learner will have developed an understanding of the following:
• The legislative framework that governs work activities on their site.
• Relevant regulations and Enterprise procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks and hazards in an ESI environment.
• The work permit process from application, preparation, isolation, issue, completion, cancelation and restoration, in compliance with the Enterprise procedures.
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider.
• Recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies until emergency services arrive.
• Effectively confine and manage an emergency scene.
• Perform CPR
• Apply appropriate first aid procedures.
Assessment approach
Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:
• Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice, Verbal Questioning Interview)
• Test/Quiz (e.g. Multiple Choice Quiz, Written Quiz)
• Direct Observation/Practical Assessment (e.g. Workplace, Simulated Environment, Role Play/Scenario)
Course Entry Requirements
To participate in this course, learners are required to:
• have Statements of Attainments in the relevant Units
• be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing, and numeracy.
• be sufficiently fit to participate.
