Global Collaboration:

Electrical Safety Training in the Netherlands

We develop globally transferrable products and services that are aligned to local regulatory requirements.

At Thomson Bridge, our international team of electrical and education practitioners are providing training and advisory services for electrical skills, safety, and compliance for the global energy industry. We are proud to collaborate with RelyOn Nutec in the Netherlands to offer a comprehensive range of training courses on “Working safely on electrical installations, EN 50110-1 / NEN 3140”. These courses aim to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure a safe working environment.

The first set of Low Voltage training courses, specifically designed for the “Skilled/Competent Person” level, has already commenced. Participants in these courses will benefit from a combination of classroom training, reference books, and unlimited access to our NEN 3140 Adaptive Learning platform. This platform serves as a valuable resource for deepening and maintaining knowledge, enabling participants to enhance their understanding of electrical safety and preparation for the demands of their work.

It is worth noting that all these low voltage training courses in The Netherlands are developed based on the requirements set forth by the STIPEL Foundation. By adhering to these standards, we ensure that participants receive training that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, our Adaptive Learning platform is an excellent tool for individuals looking to prepare for the official external STIPEL exam, as it provides a comprehensive and interactive learning experience.

We have further cross-organisational collaboration In the Netherlands, with Van Empel Opleidingen and Richard Groenewegen, Chairman of the Standards Committee NEC 623, working group NEN 3140. This collaboration guarantees that our international low voltage training courses are not only in line with local government regulations but also aligned with industry requirements. By working closely with these esteemed partners, we can provide participants with the most relevant and up-to-date training content.

Looking ahead, RelyOn Nutec and Thomson Bridge are committed to expanding its training portfolio to include High Voltage (NEN 3840 in the Netherlands) and Explosive Safety in accordance with the ATEX directive. This expansion reflects our dedication to catering to the diverse needs of professionals working in the energy industry and furthering our mission to promote safety and compliance in electrical installations.

Thomson Bridge, in collaboration with RelyOn Nutec, is actively involved in the development of international training courses on “Working safely on electrical installations”. Initially, these courses are being tailored for workers in Europe, where the European standard EN 50110-1 serves as the foundation. To ensure the courses meet the specific needs of each country, we engage local experts who incorporate locally specific requirements into the training materials.

The collaboration between Thomson Bridge and RelyOn Nutec represents a significant step forward in the field of electrical safety training. With our combined expertise and resources, we are confident in our ability to deliver high-quality training programs that empower individuals to work safely and confidently on electrical installations
