Cable Jointing Apprenticeship programs grow

Underground power cable networks are growing at an exponential rate with the rise in large scale infrastructure builds including renewables and new housing developments, all of which has led to records being broken for new connections.

Thomson Bridge is working in collaboration with industry to upskill the essential workforce to build and maintain these vital networks through our Cable Jointing Apprenticeship programs. This new year’s intake makes a total of 29 current apprentices working towards their Certificate III in ESI Cable Jointing. The young workers range from new aspirants to fourth year pre-graduates seeking their final signoff. They represent large and small employers in the Electricity Supply Industry.

As a flexible service provider in ESI training, our innovative and collaborative training programs provide pathways for new entrants as well as experienced workers to meet the increasing demand for skilled labour combined with industry skills shortage to support significant and vital infrastructure build.
